Halmos Capital Partners
Halmos Capital Partners is a boutique private equity firm. We strive to generate attractive returns through opportunistic situations with an operational focus. Our goal is to transform small capitalization, entrepreneurial businesses into institutional platforms positioned for continued growth.
Halmos is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the opportunities created by market cycles, emerging themes, new technologies, and valuation disruptions because the firm is unconstrained by fundraising mandates, capital deployment timelines and structuring restrictions.
Our core team, operating partners and advisors provide ongoing strategic and operational support to portfolio companies. We partner with seasoned industry operators and advisors and remain active at the board level and in the areas of acquisitions, business strategy, financial planning, lender negotiations and recruiting. Our core team has experience operating as the CEO and CFO of companies, and can provide hands on help when needed. In addition, our close relationships on-the-ground grant us access to differentiated, off-market opportunities.
Halmos seeks to make a small number of quality, concentrated direct investments across the capital structure with a preference for majority control equity investments. We have the ability to consider hybrid instruments and creative financing solutions.
- Buyouts of private companies, or divisions of larger companies
- Management buyouts, where key executives acquire companies from existing owners
- Recapitalizations of family or founder owned companies
- Bolt-on acquisition to an existing platform
- Growth capital investments (majority and minority equity)
When structuring the balance sheet, we endeavor to ensure capital is readily available to management for investment to grow their businesses. This ensures that leverage, when used, is applied in a prudent manner that allows for a margin of safety.
Our focus is on high quality, profitable companies that can benefit from an active partnership with us and where management has a meaningful financial participation going forward. We are looking for portfolio companies that exhibit the following characteristics:
- Headquartered in North America
- Growing businesses with attractive fundamentals
- Revenue of $10 million to $100 million
- EBITDA of $2 million to $30 million
We maintain long-term partnerships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private foundations, institutions, private equity, private debt funds and other accredited investors who view opportunistic investing as an important part of their portfolios. Halmos has an open-minded approach to structure and we take pride in tailoring investments to the needs of our capital partners.

Our Name Is Our Philosophy
In both mathematics and philosophy, the Halmos symbol, a simple black square, represents the concept of Quod erat demonstrandum, Latin for “which is what had to be proven.” At Halmos Capital Partners, we put our name only behind opportunities we have thoroughly analyzed and vetted.
Halmos encourages interest from advisors, business owners, managers and potential investors. Please contact us at email@example.com if you have a potential transaction or talented manager to discuss.
